Costume Character Staff for Promotional Events

Costume characters are undoubtedly a fantastic attention grabber, however there is a common misconception that they are useful solely in campaigns geared towards the younger generation. In fact, costume characters are an impressive way of marketing any business and can help to make an event or promotion more effective. They provide an eye catching centrepiece to numerous different promotional campaigns, attracting attention and helping to break the ice with consumers. The advantage of using costumed characters in this instance is that whilst engaging with adults directly regarding the promotion, which may not be child focused, the costume character will help to distract and entertain children.

Our most recent campaign featuring costumed characters was a roaring success and a prime example of how effective costume characters can be in campaigns geared towards any demographic. The pictures below show our fabulous staff promoting Costa and Coffee Nation at the University of Surrey – experiential marketing at its finest!

This promotion was a wild success and massively benefited the brands; targeted towards students, the promotion involved sampling free coffees, always a great way to win round consumers, particularly students! As it was during Fresher’s Week this was also a fantastic way to ensure brand loyalty throughout the year, as the students were actively being made aware of the products on offer and the locations.

Although costume characters are an interesting gimmick contributing to the success of many campaigns, an eye catching costume alone is simply not enough. The most important factor to consider is not the costume, but the member of staff who will be wearing it – the selected candidate must be hugely outgoing, prepared to interact and mingle with consumers, and above all do what is essentially a hard day’s work. Hot and stuffy, costume work is not for everyone, but our staff and guaranteed to go that extra mile to ensure the success of the campaign.
