Costume characters are undoubtedly a fantastic attention grabber, however there is a common misconception that they are useful solely in campaigns geared towards the younger generation. In fact, costume characters are an impressive way of marketing any business and can help to make an event or promotion more effective. They provide an eye catching centrepiece to numerous different promotional campaigns, attracting attention and helping to break the ice with consumers. The advantage of using costumed characters in this instance is that whilst engaging with adults directly regarding the promotion, which may not be child focused, the costume character will help to distract and entertain children.

Promotional staffing is an integral part of experiential marketing, and can massively aid the communication of key brand messages direct to the consumer. The calibre of promotional staff can vary massively, as can their ability to correctly interpret what your brand is all about. There are several components that form a successful and worthwhile promotional campaign; initially, you must ensure that you choose the best available staffing agency with which to work – one which is dedicated to understanding and achieving your objectives – Beautiful Minds Promotions. We meticulously and rigorously sift through applicants to ensure that only the crème de la crème end up on our books, containing only the finest Brand Ambassadors that the industry has to offer.

As an event staffing supplier to both experiential and exhibition clients Beautiful Minds Promotions have the benefit of learning about both sides of event staffing. We are fortunate to have learnt lessons from both that have put us in great stead to service clients on either side in a confident, experienced and unique manner.
From our experiential clients we learn the importance of event staff that represent the face of a brand and the importance of crucially getting the event staff right to suit that brand. From our exhibition clients we learn the importance of pro actively guiding visitors through their experience. Helping them get the most out of their day and supporting exhibitors to make the most of their presence at a show.

Last week saw the start of a new campaign for “The Collective”. Beautiful Minds had events staff out working in Fullham, Holloway Road, Putney and Hersham. The campaign has involved using a Citroen 1977 camper van, in which the client specifically asked for Event Managers over the age of 30yrs (of course this was no problem for Beautiful Minds!)

By new Account Executive and Staff Booker Melody
Having worked in promotions extensively for the past few years, it is only since I have moved into staff booking that I have realised the true importance of a good staff profile. We have hundreds of staff on our books (1100 at last count!) and receive upwards of fifty applications to join our books each week; the one thing that is guaranteed to make a staff member stand out is a great staff profile.

Most of you will know by now that I will be leaving Beautiful Minds at the end of August to enter the scary world of Primary School teaching! Now that I am coming to the end of my time at Beautiful Minds Promotions (I can't believe how fast 2 years has passed) I am recollecting some of my favourite events, staff and moments at Beautiful Minds HQ.
Looking back through my calendar I have found out the following;

Following last weekend’s national events staffing campaigns Virgin TiVo, Vision Express and brand new accounts and campaigns signed off this week including The Collective Dairy sampling campaign, RABDF and Beauty Hair UK Autumn Events, the need for effective, professional and diligent Event Managers has never been so prominent.
Event Managers bridge the gap between HQ and the event staff which allows us to have eyes and ears in the field and run a campaign from activation through to reporting.

As work pours in for Beautiful Minds this summer, it’s all hotting up at the event staffing HQ.
With some incredible campaigns and new clients including BD Network and the Virgin TiVo retail campaign, Blonde Fish and the Smirnoff Sensations event along with major bookings from existing clients like Vision Express and Broccoli Marketing, the sky's the limit (regardless of what The Apprentice's Melody may say)

New Generation Events Staffing
Looking after the new recruits and applicants to Beautiful Minds Promotions events staffing books whilst Emma was away on her honeymoon gave me ample opportunity to revisit the angle we have always so valiantly described our staff as: "Staff that look great and sound better"
Was this still the case? Were we still as selective as we hoped and was the standard of events staffing applicants continuing to rise or had we hit our peak?
Looking at all new staff applicants had always been my role until Emma joined the team and showed a gifted knowledge and flair in spotting real talent in the events staffing industry. In short recruiting new event staff for the books became Emma's key role and she has bought in some outstanding new Brand Ambassadors, Event Managers and Entertainers

After taking two weeks off for my honeymoon I have returned to a hive of activity at Beautiful Minds HQ. I thought I would give you a brief rundown of what I have missed these last two weeks and where our events staffing teams have been whilst I have been sunning myself.
If you were in Kidderminster, Birmingham or Crewkerne last Saturday you may have received goody bags from our wonderful Beautiful Minds who were giving away goodies and money off vouchers for Vision Express stores.
Last week also saw events staffing agency Beautiful Minds providing sampling teams for Attiki Honey under the watchful eye of Dan Silva one of our fantastic Event Managers. The team sampled Attiki Greek Honey to the hungry visitors of Taste of London and as you can see from our pictures the public really enjoyed the unique taste of Greek wild flora honey.
